Configure the Migration Utility

The script presents a configuration UI to help with the many possible settings. Note these settings apply to all users.

VHD

This combo box chooses between VHD and VHDx format for the virtual hard disk. VHDx is only supported on Windows 8 and above and Server 2012 and above. For ease of reference this document refers to either format as VHD.

Dynamic

This combo box chooses between Dynamic and Fixed size VHD formats.

Rename Local Profile After Migration

Check this box if you are migrating a local profile. This will rename the local profile with a ".old" extension. In order for FSLogix Profiles to work on this machine there should be no local profiles present.

Citrix UPM Profile

Click the "Citrix UPM Profile" checkbox if you are converting from a Citrix UPM Profile.

For example, if the user directory is <username>.v2 use %USERNAME%.v2
