frxcontext.exe allows you to manage FSLogix containers as well as aid in managing containers by adding context menu's to vhd(x) files.

Install / Uninstall

You must run these commands in an administrator command prompt.

--install

Install FSLogix container management to the Windows context menu for vhd(x) files. Installs for all users.

frxcontext.exe --install


--uninstall

Uninstall FSLogix container management from the windows context menu. Uninstalls for all users.

frxcontext.exe --uninstall
--install-per-user

Install FSLogix container management to the Windows context menu for vhd(x) files. Install for the current (logged in) user.

frxcontext.exe --install-per-user
--uninstall-per-user

Uninstall FSLogix container management from the windows context menu. Uninstalls for the current (logged in) user.

frxcontext.exe --uninstall-per-user
<vhd(x)>

Attaches a FSLogix profile or Office 365 container for edit.

frxcontext.exe C:\path\to\profile_user.vhdx

How to use

Mounting a container

Right click any profile container file or Office 365 container file and select "Mount for FSLogix Edit". Alternatively, you can use the command listed above.


  • Profile containers: Two windows will open, the users registry and a File Explorer window pointing into the vhd(x) disk.
  • Office 365 containers: A single File Explorer window will open showing your Skype, Outlook, and/or One-drive data. 

Unmounting a container

Unmount a container at any time by right-clicking the disk icon in your tray and selecting "unload <vhd(x)>"
